ONU's Edwards, USF's Moore Close Out 2025 With Men's Basketball Weekly Honors

CHICAGO --- A near-double-double average by Olivet Nazarene University's Eli Edwards (Kokomo, Ind.) and 22 defensive rebounds in just two games from University of St. Francis' Damarcies Moore (Chicago, Ill.) earned the pair Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending Dec. 21, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Edwards picked up his third CCAC Offensive Player of the Week award after averaging 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 steals per game in a split decision for Olivet Nazarene last week. 

Last Wednesday, the senior forward/center authored a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double, while shooting 50 percent from the field (9-of-18) in a 72-62 win over University of the Virgin Islands.  He also recorded four assists, three blocks and two steals.

One day later, Edwards totaled 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in a 79-63 setback to NAIA No. 11 Keiser University (Fla.). 

ONU's 1-1 week put the Tigers at 9-3 overall, while remaining at 5-0 in league play.

Moore brought home CCAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition after averaging 11.0 defensive boards (13.0 total) and 2.0 steals over a pair of contests.  He also averaged a double-double with his 10.0 scoring mark.

The senior forward produced nearly identical numbers in both affairs with his 13 points and 13 rebounds in an 81-67 victory over Milligan University (Tenn.) last Wednesday, resulting in his second double-double as a Fighting Saint.  He also registered three steals and two assists.

One day earlier, Moore again totaled 13 caroms (11 defensive) with seven points, one steal and one assist in a 67-53 setback to St. Thomas University (Fla.).

Like Olivet Nazarene, St. Francis went 1-1 on the week, leaving the Saints at 7-2 overall and 4-1 in CCAC play.
