Olivet Nazarene Completes Trifecta With Women's Outdoor Track & Field Title
JOLIET, Ill. --- Capturing 12 of a possible 21 event titles, Olivet Nazarene University ran away with the 2025 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's outdoor track & field championship on Saturday at Joliet Memorial Stadium. The Tigers totaled 257 points over two days to win the crown by a comfortable 78.5 points.
Viterbo University was second with three titles and 178.5 points, while Saint Xavier University won one individual race and put up 133 points. The other first-place finishes went to St. Ambrose University (three), Judson University (one) and University of St. Francis (one).
Viterbo also captured the most top individual honors, including a pair for Olivia Wingo. She was named both the Outstanding Field Event Performer for her three Top Two finishes in that area and the Most Valuable Meet Athlete after gaining the most points at the championships.
Wingo won the high jump event (1.56 meters), while placing second in both the long jump (5.57 meters) and pole vault (3.80 meters). She actually tied for the top spot in the latter event with teammate Emma Johnson when both individuals broke the meet record. Johnson, however, was deemed the champion on a tie-breaker.
On the track side, Wingo placed second in the 100-meter dash (12.17 seconds) and was part of Viterbo's runner-up finish in the 4x100-meter race (47.69 seconds) to finish with 42 total points.
Viterbo's other honor went to pole vault coach Nick Pergande, who was named the CCAC Assistant Coach of the Year.
Outstanding Track Event Performer accolades went to Olivet Nazarene's Tylar Parker, who totaled 40 points over her four events, all of which were first-place finishes. Individually, she topped the charts in the 100- (11.92 seconds) and 200-meter events (24.41). She was also the anchor for both the 4x100-meter (47.38) and 4x400-meter relay teams (3:55.68), with the latter time being a new meet record.
Olivet Nazarene head coach Kyle Rago rounded out the list of award winners when he was named the CCAC Coach of the Year.
ONU's outdoor crown, matched with titles in both indoor track & field and cross country, gave the program its first running championship trifecta.
